Description of PRTG - Paessler Router Traffic Grapher 18.104.22.1682:
PRTG Traffic Grapher is an easy to use Windows based software solution that monitors bandwidth and network usage usage. The software supports SNMP, packet sniffing and netflow to create clear, live, at-a-glance readings, and helps identify usage trends to optimize the efficiency, layout and setup of leased lines, routers, firewalls, servers and other network components. PRTG Traffic Grapher runs on a Windows machine in your network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and constantly monitors and records the network usage parameters. The recorded data is stored in an internal database for later reference. Viewing the monitoring statistics and configuration is handled with the Windows GUI. For remote access to the monitoring results, PRTG Traffic Grapher comes with its own Web Interface and a built in web server to provide access to graphs and tables using any web browser. The application works with most network devices that support SNMP, and has been tested with a wide variety of routers and switches from companies such as Cisco, HP, 3Com, Linksys, DLink, as well as with various devices (e.g. computers running Windows or network printers). To further facilitate the monitoring of system parameters on machines running Windows 2000, XP or 2003, the software "Paessler SNMP Helper" is included for free. PRTG Traffic Grapher is available as a Freeware Edition (limited to monitoring one network device and suitable for home users and SOHOs) and several different commercial editions, offering monitoring for multiple network devices and advanced features suitable for corporate use.
Supported OS: Windows XP, Windows NT, Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows 3.x, Windows 2003, Windows 2000
