The Vulcan Portal is a windows« application that allows you to send/receive 3dVoiceMail to other users, a bit like email, but instead everyone appears as a real-time 3 dimensional head who synthetically talks with perfect lip synch. You can define how you want to appear using default models and skins or upload your own skin. Define your speech gender, pitch and speed and use speech manipulation symbols within your text based mail, to provoke whispering or excitement etc. The result is that your 3d head will speak your mail to the person who receives it, creating an exciting and entertaining method of communication. The Portalls synthetic speech operates in six languages, current features include access to the community centre and an address book for storing past communication.
